  1. “…fragile blossoms in the garden of humanity.” Lovely words and sentiment, David. And I love the calligraphy and message too. My very best wishes to you for a year ahead of sweet fragrance and gentle breezes.

    1. thanks to the kindness & support
      of yourself & others
      i’m feeling more like
      fresh blossoms
      than fresh compost, dear Jet!
      wishing you gentle rains
      and warm sunshine moments 🙂

  2. You reminded me of the sign on my bulletin board: “Plant melons, get melons. Plant beans, get beans.” A Chinese proverb.
Here’s a question about advertisers on your site. What’s with the hairy guy shaving his belly? Lovely roses and message. . . . then, the hairy guy?

    1. yes, we’re all watering seeds, dear susan!
i’m sure we’ll do our best
to water the more wholesome ones.
i realize there are ads, as i use the free version of wordpress,
but i have no say about which ads are placed.
      rest assured, that i
am not the hairy guy 🙂

  3. Absolutely beautiful. I adore those roses. Your post reminds me of a saying I’ve used off and on for years, “Bloom where you’re planted.” Because life is precious, we must watch what we feed our mind, body, and soul. Wishing you and yours a very blessed New Year, David! 😀

    1. thank you for kindly sharing this wise saying, Linda!
as more blooms beckon to be reckognized
i may need to use it for a future post.
i’m happy it’s been wet, quenching the dryness here,
      so yes
      already a blessing…
      & to you & yours 🙂

    1. happiness each moment
of your new year, dear Michael.
      smiling to your sweet fertilizing
      of mine & all’s roots!
so much beauty & goodness arises
with our simple coming together. 🙂

    1. thank you for your gardener’s wisdom, dear Sue!
knowing that you’re doing your best to blossom
inspires me to reach towards the sky
and let my pedals down 🙂

    1. i’m grateful for your expressing
what is difficult, real & true, dear Michele!
i imagine you & many others helping
      those with real needs
      here in the garden.
wishing you joy & strength in 2019 🙂
